What types of financial aid are available?

The BYU MBA Program offers low tuition which is subsidized by tithes of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In addition to this, there are many departmental scholarships available to admitted students. Information on scholarships can be found on our website through this link: http://www.marriottschool.byu.edu/mba/prospective/scholarships.cfm

Scholarships are offered through the MBA Program to many first-year MBA students.ýThese scholarships are based on academic merit (a combination of GMAT score, work experience and GPA) and average $2,500 dollars.

There are also private scholarships available through the MBA Program and Marriott School Dean’s Office. Some are financial aid for international students, minorities, and single parents. Students may also be eligible for loans.

In the second year of the MBA Program approximately 60 graduate assistantships are offered. These require five to seven hours of work per week and pay about $13.50 per hour.

How about student loans?

Both first- and second-year students may apply for loans from the Marriott School loan fund. These loans are arranged through the university Financial Aid Office. Please contact Doug Young for details (A-41 ASB, [801] 378-4104).ý All other loans are also handled through the Financial Aid office.
