Students who are currently in the BYU School of Accountancy’s undergraduate program have the opportunity to apply for the integrated MAcc program.
During the second semester of their undergraduate accounting program, students will attend a meeting where options will be discussed regarding continuing with the bachelor’s or master’s degree. Students may apply for the integrated Master of Accountancy (MAcc) program, in which students earn their BS accountancy and their MAcc degrees concurrently with both degrees awarded to students upon graduation. Students may also choose to only pursue their BS accountancy degree.
SOA students who are currently in the accounting junior core who wish to apply for the MAcc program must complete the Bachelor’s/Master’s Decision Form by 11:30 p.m. on the last exam preparation day of winter semester. The application includes a $50 application fee and a statement of intent or personal essay. The primary admission criteria are junior core grades. The GMAT is waived if you are a student who has completed the BYU accounting core.
Not all who apply to enter the MAcc program are admitted; historically, the acceptance rate has been around fifty-six percent. All applicants will be notified via email by the end of May as to whether they have been accepted.Apply
If you are not currently in the BYU School of Accountancy’s undergraduate program but wish to apply for the MAcc program, please read the non-integrated student application requirements.
