Biography:
Petersen is Chairman of the Board and a partner at Benefit Communication Insourcing, a Kansas corporation that specializes in communicating and enrolling its client's employees in core and voluntary benefits within large corporations across the nation. He is also a former partner and CEO at Best Vinyl, the largest vinyl fence company in the country, founded in 2001 and ultimately partnering and then selling out to a private equity group in California. Petersen is also the founder of APU Solutions, a web technology based business bringing together the supply chains of the property and casualty insurance industry, the collision repair industry, and the auto salvage recycling industry to radically improve the efficiency of procuring real time alternative parts in the repair of damaged vehicles. APU Solutions is the industry leader in its space and Petersen continues as a Board member and large shareholder. Petersen's first entrepreneurial venture was Life & Safety Products, Inc. which he and his partner co-founded in 1988, ultimately selling the company in 1997 to Cintas Corporation, the largest uniform company in the world. He also published a book, "Where Have All The Prophets Gone?" in 2005. Petersen has been a BYU Founder since 1999 and served as the advisor to BYU's CEO club since 2003. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Enterprise Mentors, a foundation dedicated to providing micro financing and business training to many private foundations in the Philippines and South America.

Scott married Marilyn Jean Hobbs on August 8, 1980. They have five wonderful children, Tyler, 28, married Anya Artinger, two children; Brooke, 26, married Ryan Browning, two children; Rachel, 23, married Machael Henderson; Brandon, 19, serving full time mission in Honolulu, HI; Ashley, 17.
