Brandt Andersen is an entrepreneur who has founded and run several businesses. In 1998, while attending Brigham Young University he founded a technology company named uSight that created software products and services for small businesses. In 2004 Inc. Magazine named uSight as the second fastest growing company on it's annual Inc 500 list. At the time uSight had over 100 employees and over 50,000 customers. In early 2005 Brandt sold uSight. Following the sale of uSight Brandt went back to Brigham Young and graduated with a degree in Fine Arts.
In 2006 Brandt purchased an NBA Development League franchise and started the Utah Flash. During the 4 seasons the Flash played they made the finals or playoffs every year. In 2013 Brandt sold the Utah Flash to the Philadelphia 76ers.
Over the past several years Brandt has spent his time focused exclusively in film. He has recently helped produce or finance the rights for such films as Broken City starring Mark Wahlberg and Russell Crow, 2 Guns starring Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington, and the Golden Globe nominated film The Flowers of War starring Christian Bale. Brandt is also a member of the Producers Guild of America.
Brandt has spent much of his life overseas. He has lived in Switzerland, France, Germany, and Chile and is fluent in both Spanish and French. Brandt is committed to philanthropy. Brandt has traveled internationally to Africa and Haiti to assist with humanitarian efforts. His trip to Haiti came three days after the earthquake that devastated the country. While in Haiti USA Today listed Brandt's twitter account as one of their top 10 most interesting twitter accounts to follow. Brandt lives in Malibu, California with his wife and three children.
