Graduate Student Aid
Graduate students in the Marriott School can receive financial aid from their specific programs, Marriott School scholarships, and loans.
Graduate Student Scholarships
- MAcc: First-year MAcc students are considered undergraduate students for the purpose of scholarships.
- MISM: First-year MISM students are considered undergraduate students for the purpose of scholarships.
- MBA: ALL first-year MBA students are automatically considered for scholarships from the MBA program upon acceptance into the program and therefore do NOT need to apply. Second-year MBA students need to apply online.
- MPA: ALL MPA students need to apply online to be considered for scholarships.
Marriott School Scholarships
- You can apply for ALL Marriott School scholarships using ONE application. However, you will only be considered for the scholarships for which you qualify.
- The application will be online beginning 1 February at marriottschool.byu.edu/aid/.
- Deadline for application is 15 March for spring/summer scholarships and 15 April for fall/winter scholarships. All materials, including your ręsumę and essays, are due by the deadline.
- Scholarships will not be awarded until you are officially admitted.
- The criteria for scholarships include: GPA, need, service, leadership, nationality, hometown, major, emphasis, dependent children, ethnicity, etc.
Loans
- Marriott School loans are available for full-time graduate students only (not executive programs). They are handled on an individual basis, dependent on financial need and standing within the participating programs. These are also available for international students with a U.S. citizen cosigner.
- BYU short-term loans are available for up to the cost of tuition only.
- Federal Stafford loans are subsidized by the U.S. government. These are not available for international students.
