A variety of resources are available to students to make the most of their experience at the Marriott School. These resources are available to and recommended for both pre-management and admitted Marriott School students. Students will find that getting involved with on-campus activities will help them gain experience for their résumé, find networking opportunities, build relationships with peers, and provide them with direction for their future.
For finance students, these organizations include:
- Underclassmen Academy
- Sponsored in conjunction with the finance department, the Finance Society’s Underclassmen Academy is a six-week program aimed at freshmen and sophomores interested in finance careers.
- NetTreks offers finance students opportunities to prepare for internships and jobs by visiting top companies around the country.
- On-campus internships
- On-campus internships are an opportunity for students to put into practice the things they are learning in the classroom and learn about actual workplace environments and specific employers.
- Field studies
- Field studies provide career-oriented experiences for students to assist in defining career goals, deepening and enhancing classroom learning, and increasing student attractiveness to recruiting companies.
