The marketing emphasis prepares students for marketing management responsibilities, e-marketing, high-tech marketing, database mining and analysis, product/brand management, industrial and consumer product sales, market analysis, and entrepreneurial activities.

Outlook

Employment in the field of marketing is expected to increase faster than average–exhibiting an 18 to 26 percent growth-through 2014. The BLS (Bureau of Labor Statistics) points to growing domestic and global competition in consumer products and services as a key reason for this job growth.
