Job sources

Reach out to people you know during your job search. Many jobs are found through friends and family. Make connections through the Alumni database and Management Societies. LinkedIn and other social networks allow you to make great connections as well. (Check for all of these in the "Networking" portion of the website.)

Here are other sources to help you in your job search:
  • eRecruiting - Many of the job postings on here will have jobs from companies that are coming on campus. These are more promising resume drops than bigger job boards. Also, these jobs were specifically sent to BYU so the companies have an interest in BYU students. eRecruiting tips
  • Marriott School Internships - This will list any internship opportunities that come through the Marriott School. Some will be for credit, some paid, some both or neither. Speak with the Marriott School Internship Office for more information. They are located in 460 TNRB.
  • HBLL Business Resource - Go to the "Job Postings" tab. This site has more online opportunities. Many of these sites are resume drops so look for a contact within the company to help you progress farther in the hiring process.

Ultimately,
aside from BYU's eRecruiting site, online job postings should be your last option. Look for opportunities to make contact rather than just posting a resume. A resume drop requires little effort and it returns less in rewards, so don't rely on this method.
