Case Study Activity

Brian Hanrahan, president of My Carnivore, presents his company's product to students.Students, experienced entrepreneurs, and Founders arrived at the Case Study event where a "mystery product" was revealed and groups were organized to create a marketing scheme. My Carnivore, "The plant that's your pet," was presented by company president Brian Hanrahan. Richard Crandall and his group of students brainstorm for ideas. After a 10 minute briefing about the product, the participants were divided into groups consisting of two entrepreneurs and/or Founders and about four students. Time was limited to one hour to devise a marketing plan, after which the groups came together to present to one another. Once the plans were presented, each individual was allowed to "invest" in another group with fake money. The group receiving the largest investment was awarded BYU Bookstore gift certificates for each student group member. A fun and competitive time was had by all!
