Business Plan Competition

The Business Plan Competition (BPC) Kick Off takes place each October. This event is followed by various workshops and “warm-up” competitions throughout the fall and winter semesters that help prepare students to submit their business plans/ventures into the BPC and compete for over $100,000 in prizes and awards. As part of this competition, individuals or groups of students receive valuable mentoring, feedback, and experience as their business goes through several rounds of judging by our Entrepreneur Founders, venture capitalists, investors, and experienced business leaders.

Once the top three finalists are chosen, these candidates present their business plan/venture at the BPC Final Event during the Spring Founders’ Conference on campus, to an audience of over 800 students, faculty, community members, and business leaders. During these presentations the top business plans/ventures are ranked in order of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, and awarded cash & in-kind prizes. The BPC Final Event is open to campus and community members, who can win door prizes and giveaways for attending.
