What is Net Impact?
What is your impact on the world? Have you ever wondered how you could do more? Net Impact focuses on helping you to understand and develop your ability to excel not only as a professional but as a citizen. The world is what we make it. Here we train students and professionals to expand their network of influence and broaden their opportunity to positively impact their communities.
Net Impact is a national organization that provides the opportunity to network with professionals in every industry that are striving to make a difference. An annual conference (held this year at Stanford) is one such opportunity. The local chapter also provides a variety of educational and service opportunities. This year, BYU is focusing on enhancing literacy in our own communities.
Why Corporate Social Responsibility?
Pick a corporation among the Fortune 500 and the chances are that social responsibility issues are discussed in the board room regularly. With the globalization of our economy, the interdependencies between professionals and society have arisen as core issues for today's professional.
