Joshua Ford -- President
jford@byu.net
Joshua Ford is a second year MBA student at Brigham Young University studying Supply Chain Management. He has an undergraduate degree in Operations Management. While in his undergraduate program, Joshua helped to organize and participated in a study abroad to Southeast Asia to study offshore business operations. He also had an internship at Micron Technology in Boise, ID. Later he accepted a full-time position in their Lehi, UT facility which at the time was just starting manufacturing operations.

At Micron he worked as the Inventory Control Coordinator and later as a Capacity Analyst. His accomplishments included 4 years of 100% accuracy on external inventory audits by Price-Waterhouse. He also managed a continuous flow production process, and automated a floor space requirements forecast. He also was responsible for forecasting equipment needs and the production operator staffing requirements for the Boise and Lehi Test departments. He also earned his APICS certification.

This past summer he was an intern at Union Pacific in Omaha Nebraska. His primary internship project dealt with evaluating the existing warranty claims process and quantifying the dollar amounts associated with missing the opportunity to file a warranty claim.

Joshua enjoys time with his family, music, and traveling (though his current student budget doesn't allow for that). He and his wife, Heather, have two wonderful daughters--Karoline and Elizabeth.

Matt Dalebout -- Vice President Logistics

He acquired contracts that increased revenue in the 5 person firm from $250K to$1.5mm in 3 years. The resultant instrument from his development reduced field time by over 60% reducing variable labor costs by nearly the same amount.

This past summer he was an intern at FedEx Freight in Arkansas in their Logistics Solutions department. While at Lands’ End, Paul had the opportunity to work closely with offshore teams in India, which he enjoyed immensely. His position at Lands’ End progressed from being a specialist in integrating internet applications to backend systems, then working on CRM integration implementations. Paul was then the technical lead for the development of a new corporate customer database project. Paul then moved into an enterprise designer position where he developed IS application roadmaps and project plans to adapt to the business strategy.

Then Paul had the crazy idea to come back to school. He really enjoyed working hard during his first year of school, and has been very grateful for the opportunity to be here at BYU.

For his internship this past summer he returned to Lands’ End, working in the transportation department. Although Paul enjoyed his internship he would like to return to the area of business IT strategy.
