2006-07 SCMSA LEADERSHIPTyler Thomas -- President This past summer Tyler was a lean expert intern at Honeywell in Phoenix, Arizona. He was involved with a project to reduce product lead time and improve the flow of product through a manufacturing cell. Some of the skills he gained experience in were: group technology, full work analysis, and setup detail analysis. He was also able to obtain Green Belt Certification while working for Honeywell. Tyler enjoys time with his family, snowboarding, most outdoor sports, and traveling (though his current student budget doesn't allow for that). He and his wife have two wonderful children--Allyssa and Caleb.
Jessica Fields --
Vice President Currently, Jessica Fields is a second year MBA student studying Supply Chain Management. This past summer, Jessica did an internship in Omaha, Nebraska with Union Pacific Railroad. Her internship project focused on the Supply Warehouse Operations department’s customer service metric, back order days. In addition to working with the Supply Chain Management Student Association, Jessica is also involved in Women in Management.
Autumn Humphries -- Vice
President Currently, she is a second year MBA student studying Marketing and Supply Chain Management. She spent her summer at Lowe's in North Carolina working in the Special Order Sales Department where she gave recommendations on how to increase customer awareness of Special Orders. Autumn is also involved in the MBAA Executive Council where she holds the VP of Communications position.
Dave Watkins -- Vice
President Dave spent the summer in Medford, Oregon at the headquaters of Harry and David working in the Operations Finance department as a Distribution Analyst. Dave likes to spend time with his wife, Mandy, and their daughter Madeline.
Christopher Schmidt -- Undergraduate Representative This past summer, Christopher worked as an Inventory Planner Intern with Woodgrain Millwork in Fruitland, ID. He was a purchaser for their Alder wood moldings product line. He also worked on various projects including; a daily fill rate report, a supplier scorecard, and an inventory balance report. The summer before, Christopher worked as a Manufacturing Associate Intern with Micron Technology in Boise, ID. While there, he directed the creation of a new quality control process to reduce defects and improve wafer yield. Before college, Christopher also worked at Kaysun Corporation, a plastics manufacturing company in Manitowoc, WI. His job titles included; substitute team leader, forklift driver, and quality control specialist. Christopher enjoys spending time with his wife, Katrina. They enjoy the opera, mountain biking, and playing racquetball.
