Spencer Ward -- President

As a supply chain management analyst intern for Horizon Medical, Spencer realized more than $150K in cost savings by consolidating the company’s inbound freight service, and by reducing warehouse overtime. Prior to returning to BYU for his MBA, he spent three years with Coltrin & Associates, a Manhattan-based public relations agency.

Richard Bagley, CPA -- Treasurer, Professional Organization Liaison

Richard received his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from BYU. Before returning to BYU to pursue an MBA emphasizing supply chain management, Richard worked for several years in public accounting as an auditor and consultant for small and medium sized businesses. Richard recently completed a supply chain summer internship within Honeywell’s Specialty Materials division. In addition to his financial responsibilities for the SCMSA, Richard is working to increase the exposure of BYU’s SCM program and students to professional organizations and individuals related to supply chain management (Institute of Supply Management, Council of Logistics Management, etc.)

Aaron Ashby -- Vice President of Benchmarking

Aaron's BS Degree is in Marriage, Family and Human Development from BYU. He also holds a Certificate of Financial Studies from the Academy of Finance in Salt Lake City, Utah. Prior to graduate school, Aaron worked for six years at Nu Skin Enterprises in Provo, Utah. There, he managed call center operations for Nu Skin's seven US call centers. During the summer of 2002, Aaron completed an internship with Schneider Logistics in which he evaluated customer operations and redesigned supply chain management software to meet customer needs. Aaron is pursuing his MBA with an emphasis in Supply Chain, Service and Operations Management.

Paul Garver -- Vice President, Company and Career Services Liaison

Paul, a second-year MBA student in the Supply Chain, Services, and Operations Management track, graduated with a B.A. in Spanish and an M.A. in Practical Linguistics from BYU. He has six years general management experience in setting-up and running private businesses in New York City, Albany, and Salt Lake City. He spent his summer internship in Minneapolis supporting three plants for Honeywell's Defense and Space Systems division.

Nag-Gju (Steve) Schinn -- Vice President, Career Services Liaison -- International focus

Steve received his Master’s degree from Frankfurt University in Sociology. Before returning home to South Korea, he worked for Daewoo Corporation in Frankfurt, Germany for three years. There, he managed the purchase of automotive parts used for Korean-manufactured steering assemblies, brake systems, and compressors. Steve then joined Robert Bosch Korea, a Korean-based German automotive supplier, and worked there for three years in logistics, purchasing, and internal audit. His summer internship in 2002 was with Praxair Inc. He worked on an inventory management project for their warehouse in Tempe, AZ, which supplied maintenance consumables to the semiconductor industry.

Justin Hinman -- Vice President, E-Business Coordinator

Justin received his Bachelor's Degree from Regis University (Denver, CO) in Computer Information Systems. He served for four years in the Air Force enjoying, among other things, C-130 Hercules and UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter rides, though he never felt the same inclination to jump out of these aircraft as some of his colleagues. Justin’s interests include sports, cars and the intersection of technology and business.

Cory Christensen -- Vice President, Publicity

Cory is a second-year MBA with a background in operations and financial management. He worked with a successful CD/DVD manufacturing startup where he established processes that became standard practice in the specialty media replication industry. While there he reduced manufacturing costs by 30% and established several key supplier contacts. Cory interned with Yamanouchi Pharmaceuticals as a financial analyst. Cory's professional interests include strategic vendor relationship management, air transport & logistics, and new venture operations.
