“Building the Capacity of Service Providers to Deliver Effective Microenterprise Training”

Presentation Abstract:
Making Cents is an expert in building the capacity of organizations to deliver effective education and training to micro, small & medium entrepreneurs. Over the past five years Making Cents has worked with groups in more than 25 countries around the world. We work with a wide variety of institutions, including: business associations, financial institutions, local consulting firms, NGOs, schools, training centers and government agencies. The ultimate beneficiary is the local community: ranging from youth to adults, from semi-literate to graduates of tertiary-level institutions. During this workshop, we will look at good practices and lessons learned in providing cross sector business skills training from both the trainer’s and the entrepreneur’s perspective. This will include a discussion on developing the market for sustainable BDS services and several case studies.
