Biography:
- Native of Utah born and raised in Bountiful
- Bachelors degree in Finance and Masters degree in Business Administration, MBA, both from the University of Utah
- Married for 30 years to the former Sheila Bell of Laramie, Wyoming. Father of four children
- Enterpriser and creator of several successful businesses in Utah and Colorado over the past 20 years
- Joel became involved in humanitarian service work in the mid 1980's when asked to serve on the board of the Andean Children's Foundation and CHOICE Humanitarian. Has also served on the board of directors of several civic associations.
- Chasqui Humanitarian is a non-profit voluntary service organization that shares knowledge, training and resources with needy children and families in Peru and Bolivia. Chasqui's programs are based on spiritual principles of: divine creation, stewardship and service towards each other.
- Chasqui's program initiatives are threefold: Health, Education and Micro-Enterprise.
- Tens of thousand of children and families have participated and benefited from Chasqui program initiatives in Bolivia and Peru. Future project areas will include Ecuador, Northern Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil.
