EMBA 504, Corporate Financial Reporting

Analyzing financial accounting and reporting issues used by perspective managers.

EMBA 505, Leadership I

Most frequent business communication techniques. Learning accepted business correspondence and report-writing concepts, and developing skills that contribute to effectiveness in limited oral but mostly written situations in business.

MBA 510, Management & Information Technology

Management and control with information technology. Information flow, database design, and use applied to cost controls and managerial decision making.

MBA 520, Business Finance

Short-term financing of a business operation. Developing techniques for financial planning, such as analysis of ratios, profitability, and liquidity.

MBA 530, Operations Management

Examining issues and tools in production and operations management. Specific tools for forecasting, planning, inventory control, and project management presented and developed.

MBA 545, Human Resource Management

Analysis of individual, group and organizational variables that facilitate or inhibit effective organizational functioning. Topics include motivation, rewards, leadership, conflict, decision making, structure, evaluation, and change.

MBA 550, Marketing Management

Development of analytical marketing tools and techniques; their utilization in case analysis and decision making in marketing management.

MBA 580, Intro to Strategy

Introduction to strategic planning; concepts, models, and analysis.

MBA 584, Intro to Global Management

Foundations in global management integrating strategy, finance, operations, marketing and human resource management.

MBA 591R, Integrative Exercise

Integrated applications of case analysis and presentation skills. Group work to analyze cases and formulate recommendations followed by professional presentations to groups representing management.

EMBA, 601 Strategic Simulation

Second-year "residency" week including business visits, business simulation and in-depth case study/evaluation.

EMBA 606, Business Negotiations

Functions of negotiation in one's professional and personal life. Skills and patterns of professional negotiations, clients’ perspective, etc.

EMBA 609, Quantitative Methods

Review of basic statistics for common problems in business management and finance.

EMBA 681, Strategy 2

Continuation of studies in strategic planning; applying concepts, models and analysis.

MBA 682, Ethics, Business, and Society

The heart of ethics is responsibility. This course examines the nature of personal and corporate responsibility from the perspective of the global system in which we all live.

EMBA 692, Foreign Business Excursion

International experience, including instruction by global business executives. Exposes students to global practice in management, finance, operations, marketing, and strategy.
