The Wassail Bowl






Christmas carolers in old England often carried wassail bowls with them when they went caroling. They would go "wassailing" to the house of a friend, sing a carol, and offer a drink to those inside.

Cocoa Mix

1 pkg. 20 qt. size of powdered milk
16 oz. size of non dairy creamer
2 lb. can of instant cocoa
Mix well. Put in a small plastic bag and give as a gift with a mug or pitcher. Directions: Just add warm water to taste.

Warm Christmas Cheer

2 cups powdered orange drink mix
1-1/3 cup (or less) sugar
3 oz. powdered lemonade mix
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground cloves

Mix well and put in containers to give as gifts. Directions: 2-3 tsp. in a cup of warm water.

Red Hot Apple Juice

Melt 1 package of cinnamon red hot candies in 1 gallon of apple juice. Serve warm or chill and add 7-up for a spicy drink.

Punch

1 sm. can frozen lemonade
1 sm. can frozen orange juice
1-1/2 cups sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. almond flavoring

10 cups water if you used regular lemonade
13 cups water if you used pink lemonade

Mix well and serve either warm or cold.
