James Gaskin
James Gaskin is a professor of information systems in the Marriott School of Management, BYU, Provo, Utah. James has taught advanced multivariate statistics for academic research (focusing on structural equation modeling) by invitation from the prestigious Doctorate of Management program at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) for the past six years and at Brigham Young University for the past four years. His experiences teaching C-level executives at CWRU led him to find better ways to teach this complex topic. As a result, James has developed StatWiki (a Wikipedia-like resource for data analysis and SEM for academics), Gaskination (a YouTube channel with 130+ video demonstrations and lectures), and several time-saving automated statistical tools for demystifying structural equation modeling. His YouTube videos and Wiki have been viewed over 5 million times. With his automated statistical tools, complex analyses which used to take hours now take seconds, and analyses which may have taken days now take minutes. Aside from this, James replies daily to all YouTube comments and email inquiries made to him, and is deeply committed to alleviate the statistical suffering in the world.
