Curriculum Outline
Foundation Courses:
Students begin with basic classes in business management, finance, marketing, operations,
organization effectiveness, economics, and accounting. All students are also required to
attend a financial services lecture series where they hear from and interact with leading
industry professionals.
Financial core:
Students take core finance courses that prepare them for further study in one of five
academies: insurance and financial planning, real estate, banking, risk management,
or investment banking and management.
Academy electives:
After completing core academy classes, students choose an elective course within their
chosen area of interest. The elective course serves as a bridge from course work to a
financial services profession.
Many of these courses offer students real-world consulting projects and field studies
relating to their area of focus. They learn the practical language associated with
financial services, which helps prepare them for professional certification.
