National Advisory Council
Mission of the National Advisory Council
The NAC's mission is to assist the students, faculty, and
administrators of the Marriott School to promote excellence in
management education; to encourage ethical values and a commitment to
service; to consult on the direction and needs of the school; and to
develop qualified leaders for the future.
NAC Member Responsibilities
- Accept appointment to a five-year (renewable) term on the NAC.
- Provide financial support. The suggested annual contribution
is $5,000. There will be other opportunities to support specific
funding campaigns such as our World-Class Placement Initiative.
- Attend NAC meetings. Generally held twice per year,
scheduled meetings include:
- Spring retreat or trip usually held in May
- Fall conference usually held the first weekend of November
- Helping place students. NAC members are expected to help the
school find and secure excellent internship and job opportunities for
both graduate and undergraduate students. The school must help place
almost 3,000 students a year.
- Volunteer to work on a project or committee. NAC members are asked
to volunteer from time to time to work on a specific project or
committee. New projects are typically announced each fall and spring.
