National Advisory Council
The Marriott School of Management's National Advisory Council (NAC) helps provide needed resources, advises, offers counsel, and feedback from a real-world perspective on a variety of strategic and operating issues. They also participate actively in the recruitment, teaching, research, placement, and public relations functions of the Marriott School.
The NAC is comprised of selected leaders who actively support the Marriott School. Selection to the NAC will be by the Dean with ratification by the NAC Executive Committee. The number of members serving on the NAC will not be limited. Some of the NAC will be asked to serve on specific committee assignments; others will serve on "At Large" basis.
Current committees of the NAC include the Executive Committee, Leadership Alliance Committee, Public Relations Committee, Career Services Committee, International Initiatives Committee, Extended Reach Committee, Executive Education Committee and NAC Spouses Committee. Others may be established as needed.
The entire NAC meets annually for a day and a half in the fall of each year. At this general meeting of the NAC there will be a stewardship report by the Dean; faculty, student, and NAC presentations; student/NAC interactive activities; and the International Executive of the Year banquet. The NAC Executive Committee will meet one or two additional times during the year to help establish policies and direction for the Marriott School. NAC committees will meet during the year as needed and will report to the dean quarterly and at the annual meeting. Individual members will also be invited to campus to assist in lecture series, to meet with students, and otherwise participate in Marriott School activities.
