Procedure for Approval and Funding

The purpose of the Faculty Development in International Business (FDIB) opportunities is to focus on faculty expanding their cross-cultural knowledge within international business and incorporating that new knowledge into teaching and research. The Marriott School deans and the Global Management Center join efforts to make funding for FDIB’s possible for all BYU MSM faculty.

If you are interested in attending an FDIB please email Gianina Bruno at gmc_faculty@byu.edu or visit the Global Management Center (360 TNRB) for an application form.

Upon acceptance, please be aware that the following procedures for funding will apply:

  • Fill out a travel application through your department, using the department account codes.
  • Make travel arrangements and register for program through BYU travel and your department.
  • Keep receipts from the trip, including receipts for transportation, food, lodging, and registration.
  • After returning from the trip, fill out a travel reimbursement form through your department and attach all receipts.
  • The department secretary should fill out FDIB Conference Invoice and bring a copy of the financial statement to Gianina Bruno in the Global Management Center (360 TNRB).

The Global Management Center and Dean's Office will reimburse the agreed upon amount of the program to the department.
