Registration Information

Each school may send one team to the competition. Each team is comprised of three high school students with at least one native or heritage* speaker, and one non-native, non-heritage speaker. All students must speak Spanish and must participate actively in the preparation and presentation of the business plan. Each team must have a coach who can be—but doesn’t have to be—a native Spanish speaker.

By registering, each team agrees to prepare for the competition and attend the presentation event on 24 February 2012. If a team cancels its participation after receiving the competition materials, its school will not be eligible to participate in the competition the following year, unless otherwise noticed.

Each team registered will be provided all basic meals (breakfast, snacks, lunch, and dinner) and the use of AV equipment during the competition. The teams will be responsible for transportation to/from BYU, individual trips, copy costs, and non-basic meals.

* Born in the United Stated but direct descendant of an U.S. immigrant from a Spanish-speaking country.
