What is the Asia Business Study Abroad?

Discover the cultures of some of the oldest civilizations on earth while studying the dynamic business practices in one of the world’s most intriguing regions. Asia contains a diverse group of business and cultural phenomena. Students will visit businesses ranging from large, multinational corporations to small entrepreneurial ventures. We will learn from on–the–ground international business professionals and government officials as they discuss topics including branding, supply chain, human resources, finance, trade policy and general business strategy.

This short-term Study Abroad gives students the chance to expand their world by experiencing Asia, while earning credit toward their BYU degree.  Each Study Abroad is guided by a BYU professor and expert in the field. The professor will provide business and cultural briefings, direct case studies, facilitate discussions, and lead onsite visits to companies. Excursions to important locations of cultural and historical significance support academic content and provide personal insight into the diverse cultures and peoples of Asia.

Students will gain an understanding of cross-national business strategy. They will also broaden their perspective and global awareness, building a marketable base of experience. This program is designed for undergraduate business majors and minors with an interest in one of the most fascinating global markets in the world —ASIA!
