Global Management Certificate

Overview

To be successful in the business world it is important to internationalize yourself. The Global Management Certificate is designed to prepare you to work in international business. Obtaining the Global Management Certificate is visible, concise evidence to recruiters that you have successfully integrated classrom learning with rigorous international experience, thereby increasing your value as a potential employee or associate. the certificate is the highest level of international business academic qualification for MSM students and is available to both majors and minors.

The certificate increases your marketability by expanding your knowledge of international business culture, theory, and foreign languages. The certificate is designed to educate you in a foreign language class, expose you to international business in a variety of disciplines, and allow you to participate in an international experience. The Marriott School currently sponsors eleven business language courses: Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin), English (for non-native speakers), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish. Other language options are available to students who do not speak any of the sponsored business languages.

Funding is available for certificate pursuers to gain an international experience. The center sponsors several programs to help students gain international experience. However, a student may choose to participate in any international experience with a business component to fulfill the requirement.

Students receiving this prestigious certificate will be recognized at the annual banquet held in their honor.
