Experience at Marriott School…

These two years I have spent at Marriott School have changed my life in several aspects because at this school I not only had my talents developed but also learn which my strengths were. First because of the contact with impressive student colleagues who provided me with plenty of opportunities and help to learn and to develop my abilities like business reasoning and language and technical skills. And second because of to the high level of education I received-result of an amazing faculty board and well planned curricular program-that allowed me to outstand professionally.

As an LDS, I also have to mention that my spirituality was developed in this place as it would never be in any other business school. Besides good professors, we also learned from good leaders. Besides learning about ethics and service, we lived that at this school.

Experience as an international student…

Curiously enough I never felt like a labeled "international student". I say that, because I felt I had the same treatment, opportunities and challenges of domestic students, so the inexistence of discrimination plays a big positive role in a life that is already naturally challenging as MBA students. Additionally, I felt that my opinions were respected and heard despite my origin.

Words of advice for prospective CIS students…

  • Do not count on the CIS as the solution for any financial need. Bring your personal reserves so that you may live with less worry and have financial resources enough to travel to career conference if needed.
  • Have fun! Get involved in the school activities and socialize with others. This will help you to avoid stress, which is in my opinion, the biggest enemy during the program.
