Application Checklists

The following checklist provides an overview of application requirements.  More detailed information can be found on Graduate Studies web site at Application Checklist. Please check the status of your application often to ensure that all items are received and that your application is complete.

Take the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). Select BYU as one of the schools to receive your test score.

 

Create an Application for Graduate Admission log-in profile. 

 

Complete the Personal Information Form.

 

Complete the Program Information Form. (Remember to identify which track of study you would prefer.)

 

Upload one unofficial transcript  for each institution attended (even if you didn’t receive a degree) in the Education Background section of the online application. Former BYU students should upload a PDF copy of their transcripts, which can be accessed on MyBYU by clicking on View Grades and selecting Progress Report.  Applicants with international degrees and transcripts should upload a scanned copy of their completed IERF credential evaluation. Official documents required upon admission.

 

English Proficiency Requirement (international applicants and Permanent Residents only). Take the TOEFL or IELTS English Proficiency Exam and meet the program Minimums

 

Cumulative GPA – U.S. applicants should enter their cumulative GPA for their undergraduate degree.  International applicants should enter their IERF calculated GPA.

 

Credential Evaluation - International applicants whose undergraduate degree is awarded outside the U.S. only 

 

Complete the Educational Background Form.

 

Complete the Additional Information and Work Experience Form.

 

Complete the Resume/Employment History Form.

 

Upload your one to two page Statement of Intent in the essay section of the application.

 

Obtain an Ecclesiastical Endorsement. Start the Process at endorse.byu.edu.

 

Review and agree to the BYU Honor Code. You may review the Honor Code online at Honor Code Statement.

 

Submit three professional letters of recommendation, preferably from supervisors. 

 

Sign and submit your application. Submit your application no later than 9:50 p.m. Mountain time by the program Application Deadlines.  A non-refundable $50 application fee is required.

As you prepare to join us this fall, we ask that you go through the new BYU MBA Onboarding Process

*You will need to pay your $400 enrollment deposit through the BYU Graduate Studies office before you can access the BYU MBA Onboarding Process.
