Campus Facilities and Support ServicesIf you are looking for a beautiful place to study, BYU is that place. The Wasatch Mountains provide a beautiful backdrop to the BYU campus and the well-maintained grounds surrounding the school's facilities just add to this beauty. Students studying business in the Marriott School at BYU can take advantage of the spacious Tanner Building and its new, streamlined addition.
The Harold B. Lee Library is a great resource where students can learn from more than six million items housed on more than ninety-eight miles of shelving. The library has a seating capacity of 4,600 people and is the equivalent of 2 ½ football fields from north to south. When you want to take a break from studying at the library, you can walk next door to the Ernest L. Wilkinson Center where you can grab a bite to eat from one of several restaurants; shop for clothes, books, or computers at the BYU bookstore; dance in one of the two large ballrooms; disco bowl at the bowling alley; participate in any number of activities; or rent gear to go skiing, snowboarding, biking, or fishing. When you are ready to exercise, stop by the Stephen L. Richards
Building where you can run on an indoor track, dance in one of five
dance studios, swim in one of three heated Olympic-size pools, or play
sports in one of five gymnasiums. To take a virtual tour of the campus and see some of these facilities go to http://map.byu.edu. To view photographs of our campus, click here. TANNER BUILDINGCompleted nearly twenty-five years ago, the beautiful N. Eldon Tanner Building has seen more than thirty-five thousand students pass through its glass doors, study in its tiered classrooms, and exchange ideas under the roof of its seven-story atrium. Home to the J. Willard and Alice S. Marriott School of Management, this unique glass and granite building has been a wonderfully versatile and inspiring place for students studying business and public management.
Notwithstanding the tremendous service the Tanner Building has and will continue to provide, the demands for business education have simply outstripped supply. In order to meet the increasing demand for a business education, the N. Eldon Tanner Building dedicated a 76,000 square foot expansion in October 2008. The new four-story building expansion is attached to the west side of the current building. This expansion includes: tiered case rooms, flat classrooms, team study areas, open study areas, MBA program offices, faculty offices, conference rooms, and a New York-style deli. Part of this expansion also includes a three-level, open-air parking structure. To find out more about the new addition, click here. |
