PREPARATION COURSES AND PROFICIENCY EXAMS
All admitted MBA students are required to pass a basic preparation
course and proficiency exam in Accounting and Statistics by July 1,
2012. The courses are offered online through Harvard Business School
(HBS) at a total cost of $100.

Please call or email the MBA office at mba@byu.edu when you have satisfactorily
passed a proficiency exam in each course at 75% or greater, to clear
your provision for admission.
Admitted applicants are also welcome to take the following

Additional Course Instructions:
• You will notice three proficiency exams in both courses. You are
only required to pass one of the three exams in each
course. The others are provided for those that may need additional
opportunities.
• The question has been asked, “What happens if I am
unsuccessful at passing all three tests”? If that happens, please
contact the MBA office and we can clear the test results so you can try
again.
