Management Communication

Mission Statement & Code of Conduct

Our management communication group has a three-fold mission:
  • To advance the body of management communication knowledge by performing and publishing scholarly work.
  • To teach effectively the best management communication knowledge and practices known.
  • To perform professional service to Brigham Young University, our profession, and our communities in which we live.

As a member of the Management Communication Group, I will strive to:
  • Apply effective management communication principles in all I do.
  • Keep current in my knowledge of developments in management communication, including technological and conceptual developments.
  • Be loyal to my peers, being willing to critique written and oral presentations, help on team projects, give formal peer reviews, and provide training and encouragement.
  • Perform ongoing research that will contribute to my own professional skill level and to the larger good of the group and profession.
  • Present my ideas to my professional colleagues through both formal presentations and published articles.
  • Teach my classes as effectively as I know how, striving always to improve y teaching and the course content.
  • Give personal service to my students to help them prepare for their professions and for life.
  • Comply willingly with all requirements of Brigham Young University.
  • Be honest and ethical in all my professional work.
  • Be guided by the Spirit in all my work.
