Why Recruit at BYU?

R E C R U I T E R S

When you are sitting across the interview table from job applicants, some important questions are looming in your mind. These probably include: Do the applicants have management talent? Will they like business?

The Wall Street Journal, in an extensive article entitled the "Hidden Gems" (September 9, 2002) wrote "Many recruiters say there's chemistry, or general good feelings, about the Provo, Utah, school, and that they are likely to recruit "stars" who will be promoted within their companies. Recruiters also gave students high marks for communication and interpersonal skills, leadership potential and a team orientation." The Wall Street Journal ranked the BYU Marriott School of Management third in the nation among the "hidden gems."

Will they like selling? Are they enterprising, hard working? Do they have initiative and follow-through? Can they work well with others?

We prepare our students so they have come to deal with many of these questions. The Institute of Marketing focuses on enlightening our students about the opportunities and challenges in sales, and on providing the best experience possible for you as sales recruiters.

Our Goal for You

The goal of the Institute of Marketing is to provide the sales and retail industries with motivated and well-trained, leadership-ready graduates who are both ethical and capable of making a difference in their organizations.
