  • Marriott School Finance Program Ranks 9th in the World Monday, March 6, 2000

    Financial Times, London's premier financial newspaper, ranked the Marriott School as the ninth-best business school for its finance program in a survey comparing business schools covering five continents. Overall, the Marriott School was ranked 71st in the world for its international education. "This ranking is impressive considering that this is the first year we've been considered in the survey," said Ned C. Hill, dean of the Marriott School.


  • Administrator Honored for Public Service in Jordan Tuesday, February 15, 2000

    The Romney Institute of Public Management at Brigham Young University's Marriott School named Rebecca Bennion Buchanan Salti as its Administrator of the Year at a banquet held in her honor 15 Feb. Bonner Ritchie, professor of organizational behavior at the Marriott School who has played an integral role in the Middle East peace talks, presented the award to Salti, a long-time friend.

    Three Marriott School students were named as this year's Kemper Scholars, an honor that provides each scholar with financial support and summer internships throughout their undergraduate careers.     Tektronix, one of the global leaders in communications networking, demonstrated its commitment to higher education by donating one of its highest-quality color printers to the Marriott School's Graduate Career Services office. The Tektronix Phaser 740, valued more than $4,000, makes photographic-quality color and black-and-white prints at true 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution.


  • Dell Executive Donates $3 Million for Marriott School eBusiness Center Tuesday, January 18, 2000

    In a move to become one of the nation's leading high-tech business research centers, officials at Brigham Young University's Marriott School announced the formation of a new center for electronic business. Dell Vice Chair and Marriott School alumnus Kevin Rollins and his wife, Debra, contributed $3 million to establish the center.
