The Social Entrepreneurship Category

You must be the change you wish to see in the world.
—Mohandas K. Gandhi

The Economic Self-Reliance Center has teamed up with BYU’s Business Plan Competition to offer a separate category. The Social Entrepreneurship Category awards prizes to business ventures that have social missions.

A social entrepreneurship organization can be a nonprofit, a for-profit, a hybrid of both, or a division of an existing organization, as long as it has a social mission.

The first-place winner will receive $4,000 cash to help start up the business.
