Single Mom Initiative Field Study Class - PMGT 690R Seciton 3

Julie Humberstone will teach the Single Mom Initiative Field Study class for the first time during Winter semester. This class provides students with an opportunity to work on a project for an organization that serves single moms in Utah. Winter semester students will work with Utah's Individual Development Account Network (UIDAN). Individual development accounts (IDAs) are one of the most promising programs available to help low-income individuals. IDAs are savings accounts where savings are matched so participants can make asset-building purchases such as a home, small business, or an education. During Winter semester students will examine the impact of Utah's IDA program on single moms and their families.
