	Description:	Beverly Zimmerman, Associate Professor of English at Brigham Young University, holds a Ph.D in instructional design. She teaches courses in technical writing, document design, project management, and proposal writing. She has co-authored several textbooks on computer applications for business communication. Her books on PowerPoint are used in colleges and universities throughout the country. In this workshop, you will learning an effective proposal writing process: (1) determining your project and funding needs; (2) matching your project needs with funding sources; (3) writing and submitting a focused grant proposal; and (4) responding to reviews of your grant proposal. You will also learn strategies for writing an effective proposal and what pitfalls to avoid to keep your proposal from being rejected.
