CESR Conversations: Whole-interest

Date/Time: 25-Mar-05, Noon
Location: 332 TNRB
Description: Law Students Daniel Carr and Aaron Miller will be leading a discussion about one of the fundamental assumptions of modern economic theory, self-interest, and what can happen if that assumption is changed to reflect more "whole-interested" behavior. Changing that assumption can have far-reaching consequences. What does this change tell us about competition, capital, and other economic bedrocks? What can it tell us about poverty alleviation? Come and bring your experience and knowledge to help answer these questions.
