CESR Conversations: Bottom of the Pyramid

Description: If General Electric and Shell Oil decided it was in their interest to help eradicate poverty, would you be interested to hear about their approach? This week’s CESR Dialogue will discuss the situation with these two companies in particular, along with reports on other multi-nationals who now view the Bottom Of the Pyramid as a strategic priority. Kirk Magleby Vice-Chairman, Chasqui Humanitarian Foundation will be the CESR conversation leader. This presentation will discuss the BOP movement as articulated by C.K. Prahalad The Fortune at the Bottom of the Pyramid and Stuart Hart Capitalism at the Crossroads. It will draw on Kirk Magleby’s notes from the first BOP Conference in San Francisco in December 2004 and the second BOP Conference in Mexico City in September 2005.
