Joan Dixon & Don Adolphson will present some research work on the general topic of achieving economic self-reliance at a community level. The work is based on the economic development theories of urban development expert Jane Jacobs, and will be applied to the looking at the past and future of economic development in Utah County. The methodology is based on the work of energy ecologist Charles Hall, who led our December 5, 2003 CESR Lunch discussion.
