FINCA Client Assessment Data

What is the data?

The FINCA Client Assessment Tool (FCAT) data consists of client-assessment research that is conducted annually by FINCA and FINCA interns from thousands of FINCA clients. The data contains both social as well as economic data. Data is available starting with the 2003 collection year.

Who Can Access the Data?

In order to maximize the potential of this data, FINCA is encouraging researchers of all types (academics, students, etc.) to analyze program impact, client expenditures, and client business performance using this collected data. Access to the data is provided after submitting an application describing the researcher's intended use and output.

Key areas of research might include: poverty assessment, client expenditures, client social metrics, program impact assessment, social performance, client retention, client targeting, loan repayment, and special topics such as HIV/AIDS, youth employment, and business performance.

If you are interested in learning more about FINCA International or would like to request access to their client datasets for academic research please visit FINCA's website.
