Each year, the Economic Self Reliance Center sponsors summer research and internship opportunities for undergraduate, graduate and doctorate students. This summer, thirty-three students received ESR sponsorships and completed internships in a variety of places. more

Social Venture Competition 2009
Students across campus are gearing up for the Economic Self Reliance Centers 2009 Social Venture Competition. For the past five years, the ESR Center has hosted and sponsored the Social Venture Competition where students campus-wide share their interest in local, national, or global issues by creating business plans with social missions. Micro Franchise Development Initiative 2008
The Micro Franchise Development Initiative, a program developed by the Economic Self-Reliance Center, continues to research the implementation of micro franchises in developing countries to help individuals and families alleviate poverty, enhance economic self-reliance, and stimulate individual, community, and country economic development. Student Involvement
With the dissolvement of the ESR Student Association, students are encouraged to get involved with the different campus clubs and chapters that share the ESR Centers views.
