The Center for Economic Self-Reliance's Summer Internship Fair is quickly approaching! CESR will host an internship fair for those interested in doing something exciting and meaningful with their summer on 7 January 2005 from 11:00am-2:00 pm on the first and second floor atriums of the Tanner Building. Many of our partners will be available at this time to discuss available internship and volunteer positions. The event will be a great place to network and discover what opportunities are available. more
Research Days
On Friday 12 November 2004 the Center for Economic Self-Reliance held its inaugural Research Day. Academics who had obtained funds from the Center took this opportunity to present the progression of their research as well as findings and conclusions. CESR will hold these Research Days for interested researchers, students, community members and practitioners each fall semester. more
Local Organization Encourages People to Engage Now in the Fight against Poverty
The Engage Now Foundation gives participants the unique opportunity to use the power within themselves to empower those in impoverished, indigenous lands. The organization, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, sends volunteers out to work side-by-side with people living in poverty in an attempt to help sustain life. more
