Project Descriptions:
Women’s India Trust: The Women's Business Institute (WBI) of the Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) has partnered with Women's India Trust (WIT) to import textile goods to the United States that will be sold through a student run business at SLCC.
Downtown Streets Team: This social venture was started with the purpose of getting the homeless people of Palo Alto involved with cleaning the streets of Palo Alto in exchange for food vouchers and shelter. After 6 months, they graduate from the program and the foundation works with local businesses to connect them with jobs. MBA’s helped to find how to franchise (or duplicate) the program in other cities.
