Economic Self-Reliance Club
- The mission of the Economic Self-Reliance Student Association is to provide students knowledge and skills pertaining to global poverty and improvidence and to connect students with non-profit organizations for internship opportunities.
Friday Conversations
- The ESR Center with the David M. Kennedy Center for International Studies sponsors a lunch discussion each month. These informal meetings with BYU faculty and students provide an outlet for discussion of economic development research and other projects.
Newsletter
- The ESR newsletter is a useful source of information that focuses on various topics including news, events, research, and partner spotlights.
Annual Internship Fair.
- The ESR Center holds an annual summer internship fair where students can come and meet our partners and discuss possible internship and volunteer opportunities.
Participate
Those looking for a higher level of participation are encouraged to take advantage of these opportunities.

- The ESR Conference is held every Fall Semester and is a valuable place for those involved with CESR to share research and network with like-minded people who are looking to facilitate economic self-reliance throughout the world.
ESR Review
- The ESR Review is an exciting publication for the sharing of ideas and information pertaining to the practice of economic self-reliance.
Social Innovation and Venture Competition
- The ESR Center sponsors a social innovation and venture competition each spring and awards students with the best social business plans with cash and prizes.

The ESR Center has some paid positions as well as many opportunities for students interested in volunteering. The ESR's partners also have many opportunities available locally and throughout the world.
