About the SOA

The School of Accountancy is housed within the Marriott School of Management and prepares nearly 500 students annually for successful careers in accounting. Since its beginnings as a bookkeeping class at Brigham Young Academy, the school has grown into a dynamic academe in the discipline of accounting.

The bachelor's, master's, and PhD prep programs are recognized nationally for innovative education and quality graduates, and the school is consistently ranked among the best in the United States.

Graduates from the School of Accountancy are prepared to enter the public and private sectors, usually in either tax or audit. Many others enjoy successful careers in the executive's office, finance department, operations department, or as management consultants, professors, tax and investment advisors, estate planners, and entrepreneurs.
