A New Classroom for Norm Nemrow in Korea
Accounting Professor Norman R. Nemrow, twice voted by the Brigham Young University graduating class as “the overall best teacher at BYU,” has put his famed teaching skills to work in an entirely new classroom setting—Korea. Nemrow was called to serve as a mission president for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Korea Daejeon Mission beginning late June 2004. Nemrow’s wife, Cindy, and two sons, David (seventeen) and Peter (fourteen), accompanied him to Korea.

New Stratford Scholarships Begin Fall 2004
The Stratford endowment was created in 2002 as a result of a generous donation from the family of Ralph B. Stratford, an Oregon CPA. Commencing fall 2004, earnings from the endowment will provide a $2,000 scholarship for approximately fourteen accounting and information systems students each year.
In an innovative approach, the scholarships will be awarded to the best students coming out of the accounting and information systems junior core programs, based in part on the nomination of their fellow students. Students in the junior core programs work closely together for an entire academic year and thus contribute informed knowledge about their classmates.
