Brad Botteron was born on January 30, 1953 in Kansas City, MO. At the age of twenty Brad became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. One year later he received a mission call to serve in the Idaho Pocatello Mission. After six months he was transferred to Brigham City, Utah and completed his mission in the newly formed Utah Salt Lake City Mission.
After his mission Brad attended Brigham Young University and graduated in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science degree in University Studies. While attending BYU he met his future wife Ann (Pyper) and on August 8, 1980 they were married in the Oakland, California Temple. Together they have four children: two boys (Jared and Brian) and two girls (Katie and Christen).
Brads Grandfather, William Wachter, immigrated to the United States from Switzerland in 1921. After arriving in the Kansas City, Mr. Wachter worked as an electrician for nine years before founding Wachter Electric Co. in 1930. Both of Brads parents worked for many years in the family business until their retirement in 1990. Currently Brad is CEO of Wachter Inc.
When Brad joined Wachter Electric it was a small Midwestern electrical contractor with a dozen employees. Since that time the Wachter Corporation has expanded in size and capability, currently employing approximately 1,300 electricians, technicians, engineers, managers and staff in 12 offices. Their services include: nationwide electrical construction, automation and controls, voice, data, video and security network installation and maintenance. Wachter provides electrical power and integrated building system infrastructure to 52 of the Fortune 500 and many other companies across the US and United Kingdom.
Brads personal philosophy is strive to live the teachings of the Gospel. His hobbies include golf, skiing, scuba diving, and reading.
Wachter, Inc. designs, installs and maintains electrical power systems, automation and controls and technology solutions for commercial and industrial clients. The company employs 1,300 technicians, electricians, engineers, project managers in fourteen offices in the United States and United Kingdom.
