John Simcox is HAPPILY RETIRED. He is a former Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Center for Entrepreneurship. He is a sustaining Silver Founder and member of the Board of Directors, a longtime supporter of the Center for Entrepreneurship. His primary business activity has been retail jewelry. The primary chain, J.C. Keepsake Diamonds, operated more than 20 stores in Colorado and Utah; other operations include Bullock & Losee Jewelers, and Brendan Jewelers. In September 1998, John sold his business to one of the largest diamond wholesalers in the world, located in Israel. He also owned and operated 8 fitness centers in the greater Denver area. John served at BYU Hawaii Mark Willes International Center for Entrepreneurship and served in a beta testing program for the Church teaching people how to be self-reliant. John and his wife, Charlene, are the proud parents of six children (1 deceased), twenty-three grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren and two more on the way this summer.
