Scott was born Jan. 3, 1959 in Layton, Utah. He served an LDS mission to Pittsburgh, PA from Jan. 1978 to Feb. 1980. He married Marilyn Jean Hobbs on Aug. 8, 1980. Scott and Marilyn moved to Kansas in Jan. 1982 where they lived until 2003 when they returned to Utah to buy a business. They presently live in Orem.
Scott is the author of two early Christian books, "Where Have All the Prophets Gone?" and "Do the Mormons Have a Leg to Stand On?"
Scott is the executive director of the Rollins Center, a position he has held since 2010. He took a leave of absence from the Rollins Center from Sept 2015-May 2017 to scale his current company. The Rollins Center has been ranked in the top five of all university programs for the past seven years running.
Scott is also the Founder and Chairman of Omadi, a cloud based, mobile platform for workforce management that currently serves the towing and transportation industries. Omadi combines a robust CRM with a highly configurable platform offering intelligent dispatch, GPS tracking, RFID tech, geo-fencing, cloud based photo and video management and much more. Omadi not only sells its software to tow companies, but also to the large enterprise customers such as the insurance industry and the large company's that support them.
Scott has founded or co-founded several other companies and currently has significant ownership stakes in several other businesses. He is the longest standing board member of Mentors International, a unique micro lending organization with foundations in the Philippines, Africa, and South America.
Scott and Marilyn have been married for more than 37 years. They have five wonderful children and 15 beautiful grandchildren. Tyler, 36, married Anya Artinger, five children; Brooke, 34, married Ryan Browning, three girls; Rachel, 31, married Michael Henderson, three children; Brandon, 28, married Amy Brugger, three children; Ashley,25, married Russ Holmes, one child, All five children graduated from of BYU.
