Cornelia Gantner earned her bachelor's degree in broadcast communication from BYU. She is chairwoman of the Hotel Guarda Val Ltd., a leading Swiss mountain resort which she developed in 2007. She chairs The Second Mile Foundation running charitable projects in India, Africa, and South America and is founder of the Furrer Institut in Zambia, which is an NGO focusing on developing sustainable aid strategies for Sub-Saharan Africa. As a part of the Furrer Institut’s efforts, she produces film documentaries to increase public awareness of the challenges presented by conventional public aid. Fredy and Cornelia have five children.
